Deleting your data

Last updated: July 24, 2026

inStay collects very little, and you can remove all of it. Here's exactly how, depending on what you want to delete.

Remove your email from our list

If you signed up for pre-arrival tips on the website, email essa91m@gmail.com from that address (or use the unsubscribe link in any email we send). We will delete your email address from our records within 30 days. This removes your email and the resort you selected.

Remove your app data

The inStay app stores your preferences — chosen resort, stay dates, saved plan, checklist progress, unlocked guides, and language — locally on your device. To erase it:

1
In the app
Open Settings → "Reset app data" to clear your saved preferences and feedback on the device.
2
Or delete the app
Uninstalling inStay removes all locally stored data from your device.

Remove anonymous account & analytics

From the app's public launch, inStay may create an anonymous account (a random ID — no name, email, or phone) and collect anonymous usage analytics. To have any anonymous identifiers and associated analytics deleted, email essa91m@gmail.com with the request. We will process deletion within 30 days.

About purchases

Records of a one-time resort unlock are held by Apple or Google as needed for receipts, tax and refund handling — we use no third-party billing service, and your unlocks are stored on your own device. Deleting the app removes them locally; the store keeps its own purchase record so you can restore. Manage or request refunds through your Apple or Google account.

What gets deleted

What may be kept: minimal purchase/tax records required by law, and fully aggregated, non-identifying statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
